Friday, was a normal day. I did a lot of cleaning and got things done around the house.
I just remembered about last night. Friday night we had a ward activity where one of our elders, a competition ballroom dancer, would teach the adults to dance. They provided child care and Chad and I went. I had so much fun. Chad had a little fun. We learned the Cha-Cha and the Waltz, both of which I already knew, but was a little rusty on. Chad was fairly game to try them both. He would have much rather been sitting on the side watching everyone else. Jesse couldn't take the chaos in the child care area, so he sat on a chair and enjoyed watching all the adults dance. It was a fun night!
Today, Saturday, I got up a little later than usual, thanks kids! I hadn't planned on taking the kids to Lowes for the project because Eva had a birthday party to attend later in the day. Well, I, being the last minute queen.......decided at 10 am to take the kids and do somethings with them in town anyway. Chad had gone to work this morning and was supposed to be home to keep the boys so I could take just Eva. Well, I knew he wouldn't be home so I decided to just buy another gift for the little boy and stay in town. We had got him two matchbox cars-and with the boy birthdays coming up in our family, having two more matchbox cars didn't seem like a bad idea.
We went and did the project. They made land sails. Basically boats with wheels and a paper sail. Simply, but the kids had a great time. Then we dropped by Wal-mart to take care of some business. I took them to the park for about an hour. They had a good time. We walked the trail and went by the pond. Saul just couldn't help himself. He had to walk right into the marshy area-all boy! (By the way, Jesse wore underwear today and stayed dry the whole day. I don't know about him. He didn't use the bathroom, but he didn't wet on himself either, at least not until we got home.....oh the joys of potty training!) Then I took the kids to the birthday party. They invited all the kids to stay. They had a great time. It was for a little guy from church so we knew the family well.
When we got home. Lesli's kids were playing at our house, with no supervision. Chad had just returned home from work and I guess they followed him up here. Who knows?!?! The kids had a good time playing with them for a while. Well, then it was off to dinner, bath and bed. Ahhh......bed. Such a nice time of day! When all is quiet and the children are so angelic........
I'm off to the same place myself. Chad is speaking in church tomorrow. I will have to deal with the kids on the stand by myself, I'm afraid, that or farm them out to family and friends! I'm sure you will hear about it tomorrow......!

Good news. I called the Dr. today and Eva's test results are normal. I guess, she is just a hungry girl who is also thirsty and has to use the bathroom a lot! Well, good for me. I was worried about her.
We traveled to Springfield today on a little business. Chad needed to get a few things for work and invited us along. It was a fun trip and the kids were well behaved.
Elias went on a school field trip to Blanchard Springs Caverns today. He said it was a lot of fun. I had given him $20 to spend at the gift shop with the instruction not to spend it all. Well, he didn't! He purchased a book -I'm personally not surprised!:)-, and some little reptile toys. He was very proud of his purchases and that he still had more than $3 left. Good kid!
Saul brought home both his spelling test--105%--and his vocabulary test--100%-- today. He is doing so well! He is all boy! He came home from school today and was immediately filthy. Mud all down his legs, and on his shirt and shorts! What is a mother to do.....
Eva was all girl today. She wanted to wear her pretty clothes. She has a cute Dora jumper and had her hair in a french braid. She was adorable.
I can't remember what I wrote about Jesse. The blogger was down when I went to post and when I edited, it seemed to cut the last part off. I'm sure he was very cute that day!

Now here is a good looking man!
He loves to document things like this!
The little fella just couldn't hold out!
Here is Eva in all here glory. Talk about Princess!
I'm not sure what those boys are doing---having fun? --They certainly didn't know the camera was on them!
We went to the dam to watch them open the flood gates, back when the rains were really bad here. It was an awesome sight!
I love my family. They are just the best!

My confession
Okay, so I was all ready to go to bed, and actually in bed, last night at 8:30 pm. I thought I would just read my scriptures for a little bit. Well, I confess I have become addicted to my mission journals. I have been reading them often and enjoying to memories. I began reading in one and thought I hadn't written in my current journal for a while.......only two years!!! I'm really embarrassed by that one! So, I spent the next hour and a half writing---catching up on the last two years. It was fun but not as detailed as I would like it to be. My hand cramped up and that gave me time to think about how I wanted to write about each one of the kids and their accomplishments from the past two years. I tried to think of all the little things and experiences they had had, but two years and four kids is a long time and a lot to remember. I'm going to put things here on the blog as I remember them. I will date them and tell who they are about.
So, there is my big confession. I have just felt a great pull recently to reconnect with what happened on my mission. I had forgotten many names and places. It is sad that I let that happen, but alas, it did.
This morning, the boys were all well enough for school. I was so glad! I took Eva to the hospital for her test. She had to fast and have blood drawn, then eat and wait for two hours and have blood drawn again. Chad gave her a blessing of comfort this morning and that seemed to help a lot. She did really well, even though we had to hold her down. The screaming didn't last more than the time the needle was actually in her arm. I'm hoping to get the results soon and know that we can rule out diabetes on her.
I took the kids to the park while we waited the two hours. They had a good time playing with some other kids who were there. That is about all that is going on here.
This is going to become somewhat of a journal for me. I try to sit down at least once a week to write a little something. Elias is currently working on a new story for his blog. I'm really proud of his skills and his willingness to share with others.

I have been busy, I guess. I just read Karen's blog and feel like I haven't been busy enough! I sat down at the computer this morning for the first time in almost two weeks. It is currently dark as night with storms coming in. I'm just glad to be home.
Well, here we have been struggling with illnesses. Jesse had pneumonia last week and is finally doing better. I'm having Eva checked for diabetes to rule it out--for the last 4 or so months, she has been hungry all the time, drinking all the time and using the bathroom all the time. We visited to Dr. today and they said she has also been losing weight, not a lot, but it should be going up because her height is.... So, more unenjoyable tests and such in the next few days. I will keep you posted about her prognosis.
So now to Saul....he has had some tummy troubles. A little throwing up and lbm too. Well, this morning, he said he didn't feel good again. No fever, a little sore throat, but nothing else. I sent him to school and instructed him to go to the nurse if he still didn't feel well. I was ready to walk out the door with the other two for their appointments, Jesse had a recheck for the pneumonia, and Eva for the weird symptoms, and the school called......Saul didn't feel well. I ran to pick him up and yes, he threw up in the car, luckily, he had his friend-- the trash can-- on his lap and all was well. So, the Dr. checked him and did the strep test...positive. I'm not very happy about that. One kid gets over being sick and another gets something else.
So, I was interrupted by the phone....yes, it was the school, Elias was throwing up--Agggg! So, off to the school to get him. He still feels bad and I hope this is short lived.
We haven't been this sick, combined for quite some time. I'll be glad when it is all over.
Yes, and Chad has had bronchitis, enough to go to the Dr. after 17 years!, he is on medication now and mostly better. He has still worked so that has made the healing process a little slow but he's coming around now.
So far, I've escaped any illness. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.....
