A fun project

Okay so I didn't get them in the right order. Still you can see their cute little projects and their cute little faces!

Lowe's has free projects for kids. Ours really love them.

Jesse hard at work.

Eva pounding in a nail.

Saul in deep concentration.

Elias working it hard.

My cuties! They are just so much fun.

The rains are coming again

This is the creek the day after the big rain.
You can see it is still over the bridge some. Fun, fun. Lots of work for us now on the road.

The picture of just road, is the road that has been washed out with the bridge to the left. the others are of the bridge from the other side.

The bridge is where I often find Jesse. When I say it is time to go to town, he almost always gets on his bike and heads down here. I just pick him up and drop him off on the way back so he can take his bike home. What a funny kid!

Easter time--finally

Here they are on Easter morning. This is the best shot out of the 20 or so that I took!

Eva and her beautiful eggs

Jesse and his smashed eggs. He just couldn't keep from dropping them!

Saul was so proud of his work.

Elias made cute little drawings on his eggs. He was thrilled with the outcome.

Last one for the night. I don't think this is really a true test of one's character. It doesn't seem to suit mine!

Which Peanuts Character Are You?

You are Schroeder. You are brilliant, ambitious, and brooding; you tackle tasks with extreme focus. People don't always interest you as much as other pursuits, though, so you can come off as aloof.

This is kind of fun. Have a good time laughing!

Which Hogwarts House Would You Be In?

The Sorting Hat would put you in Gryffindor. You are bold, passionate, and brave. You have a highly-defined sense of right and wrong, and you are not afraid to speak your mind or fight for what you want.

Here are my results of the quiz:

Which Harry Potter Character Are You?

You are Dumbledore. You're the wise sage in any group. With your guidance, any situation can be resolved in the fairest way possible.

And the rains came tumbling down.......

Yes, more rain here. It only began about 5:45 or so but by 6:30, the bridge was covered.

Chad had gone out to Calico Rock to help with some flood clean-up/fix-up when the rains began to descend. That was about 5 this evening. When he came home, or rather got to the creek, about 7, he couldn't get over it. The waters were running so high that is was dangerous. He had to leave and go somewhere else. I told him to call me when he arrived somewhere, which he did--lucky fella. He is staying at his sister, Toni's house. When the rain lets up, the waters will recede quickly, but for now, he can't make it home. Very irritating!

It makes me very thankful for where we live, in a way. We live on a hill so all the water goes on down and we don't get flooded, at least not here at the house......the creek is another matter. I told them when the built the bridge it should be an "up and over" bridge, but as you can see, they didn't listen to me and now look what we deal with......

Hmmmm. I'm sounding like my friend Rebecca! I'm pretty sure my way would have been better, but not a lot we could do to change it now with out a lot of extra cost, which we don't have!

I'm sure Chad will make it home tonight, it will just be late. We really are thankful for the rain. It wasn't too long ago that people in the area were complaining about there being a drought here. Some people......never happy.

I'm going to find time to post pics and video again soon. Now that Spring Break is over and life is almost back to normal.....We will see what happens next.
