The last weekend of May was the Father/Son camp out with the Stake. Chad really didn't want to travel the 1 1/2 hours or so to get there, so we camped out as a family in the yard. It was a lot of fun. The kids got to sleep out in the tent two nights and I got to sleep, one night, in the house. Chad took the other night out with the kids. They cooked their foil dinners over the fire and made s'mores. It was a great time and the kids were very helpful when it came to cleaning up the camp site and putting up and taking down the tent. Here are some pictures of the fun times.

Jesse, for some reason, he thought it was cold! It really wasn't!

Here is our lovely tent. We set it up on the ball court, the only level place around. The kids had a great time 'camping'.
Here is our campfire. We had a good time and I liked being able to go inside to use the bathroom and wash up. Oh, what would I do without that!
enjoying roasting marshmallows.
Saturday morning, Saul just had to play. He thought if he threw the ball hard enough, it just might hit the tent.
Jesse's sleeping bag seems to be missing here, but he slept on this side with Elias.
Saul and Eva slept on the other side. The tent sleeps 10, so with just the four of them, plus Chad or myself, it was rather roomy!
Here is the camp site all cleaned up!

How fun! We are going family camping this weekend! We are crazy enough to drive 1 1/2 hours to the campsite, but at least we are close to the very nice bathrooms:)
