Saul's big day

Friday, 1 May, Saul turned 8. This is a very special time for him. He wanted a birthday party, so one was scheduled on Saturday. The weather was terrible and the party was not well attended. The kids all had fun.


Saul received money from his uncle and cousin.

He is fascinated with Yugi-Oh cards now....

He very low-key and only wanted a plain cake with some sprinkles on top.

The most important event took place Saturday evening. Saul was baptized. It was, of course, low-key and everything turned out nicely--except I forgot the camera, thank goodness for phone cameras. The pics aren't as good quality, but at least we have some!

Saul in his baptismal outfit. I can't believe he is so grown up. It seems only yesterday that he was born and just starting out in life.
